You Must Feel With Certainty is … a title of a letter the visual artist Hilma af Klint wrote to herself about having faith in the creative process. ‘Feeling with certainty’ is also the only way I know I’m on the right track when I’m composing; I have to have that feeling, or it’s hard for me to move forward, or let a piece go.

Join us for this online event with American composer Sarah Kirkland Snider! Snider is the mentor composer for RBC Bridges, our annual tuition-free program that brings together celebrated composer mentors, a professional resident ensemble, and six carefully selected emerging composers to develop and premiere new work in a professional context.

She’ll be sharing her approach to vocal music with us, plus there’ll be a Q & A following her talk. We hope to see you there!
