This performance for seven singers, piano, and percussion dives into love, identity, connection, and the power of expression. At the centre of the program is the highly anticipated world premiere of Thierry Tidrow’s I Want to Tell You Everything, a riveting new work that pushes vocal storytelling into fresh emotional and sonic territory. 

Anchoring the program are Claude Vivier’s Love Songs and Shiraz, two raw and spiritual creations shaped by the composer’s journeys through Japan, Indonesia, and Iran. Previously toured by Soundstreams across the U.K. and Germany, these works have been praised by The Guardian as “unruly and utterly distinctive.” 

Ana Sokolović’s playful Dring! Dring! turns our obsession with smartphones into a witty musical reflection, while Nicole Lizée’s Want Want Want, Ironic Butterfly, and Break-Up Music bring her unmistakable blend of pop culture, nostalgia, and experimental flair. 

Together, these works challenge and captivate, offering a striking meditation on identity, connection, and the forces that shape what we hear, say, and create.
