Soundstreams’ Emerging Composer Workshop Showcase

Main Stage

Featuring six pieces created by our Emerging Composer Workshop participants, written for the Rolston String Quartet

Composers Rolf Wallin (Norway) and Dorothy Chang (Canada) invite you to an evening of musical discovery as Soundstreams presents the “Emerging Composers Showcase,” February 1st, at Théâtre de l’Alliance Francaise.

Under Wallin and Chang’s mentorship, ECW’s six talented young composers (Top: Yigou Li, Tze Yeung Ho, James Lowrie, Bottom: Harriet Steinke, Haotain Yu, Angela Slater), have collaborated with them, to prepare their pieces for string quartet, for performance at Friday’s concert.

This year, the ensemble performing these six world premieres will be none other than, the award-winning Rolston String Quartet. It’s an evening you won’t want to miss!

Join us at 7:30 p.m. for a pre-show chat with our composers!
